I just got back from some
European Union sponsored
meetings in Brazil where we were
talking about the Internet of
Things. The big issue in front
of us seems to be all about how
the IoT is going to be governed.
There are many groups talking
about the projects they are
involved with, but there is
almost nobody talking about how
we are going to tie all these
projects together and make it
all work as one.
Don't forget that the AIM Expo
is rapidly approaching. Come
join the only AIDC Event that
covers the full AIDC industry.
There will conference sessions
as well as a trade show. I will
be running the Internet of
Things conference on Monday
September 26, 2011. The event is
being held in Las Vegas and is
being held in association with
Pack Expo. For more details and
sign up information visit:
E-mail me at email@example.com
and tell us what you think. Don't forget to send this issue to your friends
so that they can sign up for their own issue of the free newsletter at

Technology News Briefs
No meetings since the last newsletter, but the standards work
continues. The ISO/IEC 18000 series are all in ballot again. Part 6
is in FDIS ballot and the rest (parts 61, 62, 63 and 64) are all in
DIS ballot. This means that the new standards should be published no
later than mid-2012. Next will be the modifications to 18000-63 to
include the ability to implement security with full encryption
