From the Editor's Desk
It has been very busy in the standards world since I last wrote. A week of SC 31 standards (see below) and a week of Internet Of Things work has kept me busy and out of the office a lot. The IOT week was held in Venice, Italy where the weather was hot and humid, the meeting room had no air conditioning and the internet didn’t work! An IOT meeting with no Internet made some of the presentations interesting. IOT is certainly gaining momentum, even here in the USA where it has been very slow to gain acceptance. The AIM IOT group has been very busy and you will start to see white papers and a matrix of applications published on the web site. AIM members can sign up for committee activities immediately. If you are not an AIM member then you should contact AIM at IOT@aimglobal.org and tell them I sent you.
