From the Editor's Desk

Steve HallidayWelcome to the latest issue of the High Tech AIDCourier.

This is the June issue of the newsletter which means we are already half way through the year. Here is the USA most of the colleges are finished for the year and the high schools break for summer in the next few weeks. Many of you will be thinking about summer vacations.

Here at High Tech Aid, we are trying to get ahead of the curve and so this issue will be a little earlier than normal as we try to clear the decks for some big projects in June. Hopefully the July issue will not be late but …

If you or your company needs consulting help in the world of AIDC, then drop me a note and let's chat. High Tech Aid provides consulting on a variety of areas associated with AIDC.

Follow my Twitter feed (@RFIDMan) for more current RFID, IOT and AIDC news and information.

Are you interested in sponsoring the newsletter? We are looking for a new sponsor. Drop me a note to editor@hightechaid.com and let me know.

E-mail me at editor@hightechaid.com and tell us what you think. Don't forget to send this issue to your friends so that they can sign up for their own issue of the free newsletter at http://www.hightechaid.com. If you have news to share or info you need, let me know at news@hightechaid.com.

RFID Standards

No new standards work to report this month, though that doesn’t mean that work has stopped. We are waiting for some project editors to get their latest revisions finished before we start another round of balloting in the SC 31/WG 7. Meanwhile in SC 31/WG 4/SG 3 we have a new CD ballot for ISO/IEC 18000-4 underway with a new mode included.

If you want more information on ISO standardization or on any issue of RFID standardization, then email steve@hightechaid.com. For a look at RFID standards work, you can visit http://www.UnderstandRFIDstandards.com.
